With a note by Graham Buck - John Ludkin was born at Bunwell, Norfolk in about 1780. He married Mary Anne Cooper (see Gravestone 56) in 1805. As it says “late of this parish” on the gravestone he must have moved away from Forncett for the final years of his life.

In March 1851 at the time of the census he was living at Forncett St Mary with his wife Mary Anne and their grandaughter Emma Spicer aged 16, daughter of John Spicer ( see gravestone 19 ). His wife Mary Anne died in September 1851 so he probably moved elsewhere after this date. Informaton supplied by Graham Buck, France
