Emily Ellen Suckling was born at Brooke Norfolk on 2nd July 1871. She married John Ludkin of Tharston at Forncett St Peter Church on 24th July 1892. Their first two children William Edward Ludkin (whose name appears on the Forncett War Memorial) and Sydney Jack Ludkin were born at Forncett in 1894 and 1895. By 1896 the family had moved to Tivetshall where John worked as a platelayer for the Great Eastern Railway. He was hit by a train and killed on the line at Tivetshall in December 1902. Emily later married Alfred Harvey in 1919.
